As the snows melted, some unsightly trash was noted along a section of the scenic Shoreline recreational trail into Lewiston.
On 3/12/26 an impromptu collection of Rotarians of the Lewiston/NOTL Rotary and the Rotary Canine Auxiliary held a mini cleanup (90 minutes) of the section of the Shoreline trail heading south from the Artpark Upper Parking Lot in Lewiston to the Fort Gray Overlook. Bags of trash and returnable bottles were removed, enhancing the gateway into Lewiston for many hikers and cyclists.
